Update for me, I went into a branch in Bangkok (home branch is in Koh Samui). The lady called the Samui branch and was told they will unlock it tomorrow.

Go to the head office branch in bangkok. I don't believe you will have an issue. It was simple for me and most people.

I had to provide this along time the letter and statements from bank. I extended in May.

Be sure to consider that if you are no longer a tax resident in your country you could become a tax resident in another. Sometimes your country is a better choice when tax treaties exist.

yes, I had G M on my canadian license. They didnt even look at my IDP. I just went in with Fat Boys and they helped. It was a walk in the park. I also needed the residence letter.

over 10 years that 400k invested for 7 months of the year would double. But it’s better to just leave it and let the bank use it.
