Visited immigration today in Bangkok to pay the fine for missing my 90 day reporting. That went perfect thanks to this lovely lady at the front desk. Then I had to go for

Round 2 to get letter of residence. I need 3 as I’m selling two motorcycles and buying one new one. I guess they have a limit of 2 and said I must come back. I also asked about expedite option and was told to come back in a week to pick the second up and then I can ask for 1 more. 😊

Is this the current way or was I just unlucky.

When you are buying a vehicle, with the Yellow Book, it takes a dealer 2 hours to make you the owner. Otherwise it may take a week. Many here said the Yellow Book ( that they do not have) is useless.

Following advice from here, I went to Samut Prakan (Bangkok) Immigration office to get Certificate of Residence for Driving License, getting Thai mobile number in my name and passport and opening a bank account.

The Imm clerk, said, all 3 can be done with one form, just tick all the 3 check boxes.

Took a week and me coming back to get their stamp (for all 3 CoRs).

Since I have the Yellow book on my condo (Imm saw it and copied it) , all 3 instances said no need for the CoR, they did not even look at the CoR papers. Those useless papers (valid for a month) went to the dust bin.

Normally as the seller of a car or bike you donβ€˜t need a CoR only if you buy one
