It varies so much

My partner needed a 30 day extrnsion. One immigration office said he could only have 7 days, but we went to a different office and the IO there gave him 30 days. Be charming, polite and tidy and hope for the best!

I'm waiting now at Hua Hin immigration to do this. Explain at Immigration Information, they will give you a simple paper to fill in. It's not complicated!

Nor have I, in 25 years, but needed to show one at Heathrow last month! Had to buy a cheap ticket to Saigon while I was at check in! Everything has changed. But when I got to Thailand, noone asked to see it!
