Not so much a Visa question. Driver license in Thailand. Does everyone that has one have two cards? Recently didn’t realize they were different and had the car one while on the bike.

Police let me go because it was a drug stop. He showed me his license.

TLDR : Answer Summary
In Thailand, drivers are required to have two separate licenses: one for cars and another for motorcycles. Numerous users confirm that they possess both licenses, each differentiated by colored strips on the front. There is also a question about the possibility of exchanging a Thai driver's license for another country's license, with reference to personal experiences of exchanging a Thai license for a Taiwanese one.

That's nice for you, in Udon Thani I paid 1000 Bath for every letter to the traffic authority. That should also be the rule.

"officially" the certificate is free of charge. You will never get a receip as it´s a 100% tea money for the office.

It doesn't matter at all, immigration requires 1000 per letter. Where is the problem?

So... you're saying that you applied for two licenses, that they gave you two licenses but that you never thought about the reason for that? 🤔🙄

Is it possible to exchange licenses? When I moved to back to Taiwan I was able to hand the DMV my Thai car drivers license and an exchange for Taiwanese one I don’t know if it works in the reverse? cause I will be moving back next year to Bangkok.
