insulin is more expensive in Thailand than it was in the United States. I decided not to take the insulin. I lost weight when I was in Thailand for 3 months. Healthy organic food was the key.
this is good information to know. I thought you had to have health insurance when living in Thailand. I'll just save my money in the bank, and pay out a pocket for my health care needs. Thanks โ๏ธ
I would rather save my own money and bank it for emergencies than to pay an insurance company is what I'm getting at. I don't know if that's possible on a retirement Visa.
Just have your mail sent to your family member address or a friend, and that will be your new address. They don't have to know you're out of the country. Come home once a year to your primary doctor for your blood work and physical. Keep that money going to a bank in your country / city and you can withdraw it while you're in Thailand. It's a need to know basis and they don't need to know You're living abroad. Keep your health insurance from SSDI. That's my own personal opinion.
I know you really don't need one, but I would strongly suggest getting one. It's done professionally and would seem more legit if it ever had to go through the court system.
