I quite agree. This is also my understanding of the origin of the word farang. As with many words of older times, it’s present usage and intended meaning has evolved and mutated.
There’s an expiry date inside the license. When purchased new they have a validity of one year. Then you have to purchase another. Make sure that it is valid for Thailand. You have to state this in the application form as the area for intended use. Cheers
I thought that you were required to carry your passport to prove that you have a valid visa if challenged. Or am I missing something? I wouldn’t travel within Thailand without it available at all times. Remember, Thais with uniforms have no sense of reason or logic. Only their own interpretation of the rules. Easy way to get caught out not having it available if you ask me. Don’t chance it. Cheers
If you really want a bank account in Thailand, speak to a lawyer and get them go do it for you. Just smile when you pay the bill because you’ve achieved what you wanted with the minimum of grief. I’d advise looking exited about taking out the probable years insurance usually offered when you actually sign up for your account. Don’t refuse it. It earns the bank manager brownie points for selling it. Follow my drift.
As usual , it’s the way things work in Thailand. Go with the flow.
Not wishing to start a conspiracy thread, but I’d rather have the Oxford type vaccine rather than the MRNA type which is new science. That’s my recommendation if you feel the need. Reports seem to indicate less after effects. Cheers
