Put the money in a deposit account not a current/ card account. It’s still available if you really need it but not easily available to anyone. Put what would have been your top ups in a current account for daily expenses. Always make sure that you are in total control of your finances. You’ll get more respect that way too, believe it or not. Cheers

Bloody hell!! Nice to hear a good experience at immigration. Don’t think you’d get that result in Pattaya. They can be proper awkward there with their grim faces on - no matter how well you speak to them/ smile. Well done.

I just think it’s a mine field. One day everything’s ok next day all hell breaks loose. Don’t get me wrong, I fully support the way they keep Thailand for the Thais. We could learn a lot from this in the UK. I’d vote for it. Cheers

In their odd sense of Thai logic, they probably figure that if you go out of the country, they get another bite of the cherry because you’ll want to come back. They wouldn’t dream that maybe you won’t. Thai logic. Two words that don’t belong together in the same sentence.

I would tread very carefully if I were you. The Thais are notoriously difficult about farangs working in Thailand. A guy was deported a few weeks ago for helping his wife at a street food cart. Check everything out and then double check it all again. Also remember that rules are open to being misapplied where farangs are concerned and the rules can change at the drop of a hat. As far as I am aware, owning 49% of a business doesn’t entitle you to work at it. Only to employ Thai’s to work for you. I may be wrong but I think not. Good luck.
