I don't want a Thai bank account - I want to avoid getting on the tax radar screen (I don't have any Thai tax liability but I don't want the hassle of trying to prove that). I can do transfers from my CDN bank with a cash pickup option (many convenient locations). The rate is within 10 satang of the superrich cash rate.
Hi, ok thanks for the replies. So yes this is my first one, so I have to go in person. I went ahead and booked on the first available appointment which falls on my 97th day (including day I arrive). One last question - I'm on a DTV and staying 179 days, so I'll just need to do it this one time. However when return in Oct for the next 180, can I do my reporting online? Wasn't sure what they mean by doing for the first time (do they reset the counter every time you leave or will next year's be considered my second time?)
thanks, but I've read in several places that you can do the 90 day report in any immigration office. I happen to be very close to the Samut Sakhon one (it's much closer than CW)
