Hi, just thought I would share....had one day overstay, the consensus was that they would waive the fine but that I'd definitely get the red overstay stamp. I got neither....the supervisor said " no problem" and he justed signed his name next to my exit stamp. So glad I chose not to get the extension!
TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their experience of overstaying their visa in Thailand by one day, noting that they expected to receive a fine and a red overstay stamp but neither occurred. After discussing their case with a supervisor, they were told it was 'no problem,' and they received a simple signature next to their exit stamp instead. This led to discussions about how overstays are recorded, with some comments indicating that waiving a fine may not affect one's immigration record negatively. Others mentioned instances of multiple overstay experiences without fines, while a few cautioned against relying on luck with immigration enforcement.
