Congratulations. Recently, myself and my wife received our LTR-Visa endorsement letters through the Thailand BOI, and chose the E-visa route via the Thai-Embassy in Kuala Lumpur to collect the visas. We received our LTR-E-visas in 3 working days.

welcome, and if you want to speak to a agent with cost-free consultation, try Lawyer for Expats (Thailand) - Brian Ramsden

working is possible with an extra work permit depending on the type of work which is approved for foreigners in Thailand.

Congratulations. Myself and my wife secured our LTR Visas recently comfortably under 3 months with the help of Brian & Mint of Lawyer for Expats (Thailand). It was combined with a property transaction involving a land lease, and house purchase, and Brian (and Pook) were excellent with their advice.

@A**
why are you concerned about foreign income tax for non-Expats if you have a LTR-Visa - Wealthy Pensioner (assuming this is your category). This visa brings tax exemption from the recent foreign income tax changes (Jan 1st 2024) does it not?

Spend a bit of money, and take some tax advice if your not sure. Then you will have no confusion, and peace of mind.

@Robert *****
so you both have endorsement letters? If you do, have you considered obtaining the visas through the E-visa system via WDC Embassy

@Robert *****
did your wife (as dependent I assume) , receive her visa at the same time as yours, or later.
