Hi, wondering if any Canadians have recently got their TR/COE with only a one way flight? I know this was possible in the past, but not sure if anything changes with the new centalized visa system.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question pertains to whether Canadians can obtain their TR/COE (Temporary Resident Certificate/Certificate of Entry) with only a one-way flight, especially after recent updates to the visa system. Comments indicate that embassy rules may vary, and while some Canadians have reported receiving their TR/COE without a return flight, there are risks such as airline boarding denials. It is recommended to consider booking a changeable return ticket and to contact the Thai Embassy for clarification.

Each embassy has their own rules. I have no knowledge of the Canadian embassy so I can’t say for certain. Your airline may also deny you boarding if you don’t have a ticket out within your visa allowance. Many posts here of people that have done so successfully, but equally many posts from people that have not managed to get their certificate of entry or have been denied boarding. Probably best to get a changeable ticket.

thanks, I'm really not concerned about the airline denying me boarding. If they do, I would say fine, sell me a fully refundable one way return ticket which of course I would cancel as soon as I land in Thailand.
