Think of all the Syrian refugees that wanted to leave their country during war that couldn’t

No tourists means no economy. No one paying for girls, no money for them to give their family or spend on the economy. This is gonna turn out to be one of the worst recessions in history. No one is gonna be able to come back to Thailand on Tourist visas anymore, they’re only gonna allow foreigners who have work permits or visas based on family/marriage

Visa runs will be impossible now, they were already starting to crack down on the whole back-to-back tourist visas even before coronavirus but now this just makes it even more difficult

No clue when foreigners will be allowed back in Thailand. They could extend it to August 1 when July starts to come closer just like what they’ve been doing every month

Why does it seem like there are so many people who are in Thailand now who just decided they didn’t want to go back home and use the coronavirus as an excuse to LIVE in Thailand for as long as possible and get unlimited extensions on their Tourist visas? I have a feeling that the Immigration officers won’t care if you have a letter from the embassy I mean they don’t even care if you can show them the requirements to enter Thailand and have been known to deny tourists for too many back-to-back visas in a row. They aren’t obligated to honor multiple extensions on a Tourist visa 🤷🏻‍♂️ Just a feeling. Am I wrong?

Your Embassy will only grant you a letter to stay in Thailand if you have proof of a cancelled and re-scheduled flight that shows you made an attempt to return back to your country. You won’t be able to just live in Thailand on an expired Tourist visa and use the excuse that you didn’t want to go back.
