What are the latest entry requirements for foreigners traveling to Thailand amidst COVID-19 restrictions?

Tourists wont be back. Am just waiting for restrictions from other countries to be lifted, so as to leave.

I hope this isn’t confirmed government of Thailand’ immigration policy . That could be change at anytime .

Up until the outbreak, tourism was estimated to be responsible for 12-20% of Thailand’s GDP, depending on which source you looked at.

Now, the pervasive narrative is that the total economy is expected to tank, primarily because of the loss of tourism.

Suddenly tourism is responsible for the majority of the Thai economy? Enough to bring the whole country to its knees?

Statisticians, doomsayers, soothsayers: which is it? 😳

Next will be a different story. Tryin to be one minute news superstars hhh next week will change again. Show they are workin hard. But we all know on the ground the truth is different than the news. Once the airports open the hunger for cash will trump all and things will change for the easier

This suggests that a land border crossing through Cambodia would be possible in June provided the other requirements (insurance, embassy cert, recent test, quarantine, etc.) are met. Can anyone confirm?

"The fifth group are foreigners either with work permits or who are permitted to take up work permits." So, work permit holders and any visa that allows a work permit, such as Thai spouse?

"This may be an option for those that do but who cannot access Thailand because of the passenger flight ban but meet the other criteria under the emergency decree."

This is what I expected to see from Thailand and the reason I will not return even though I currently have a Thai wife and son. Very cruel and with very little empathy toward anyone in my position. 😞

No migrant workers and Asean will be treated differently. The whole thing is absurd.

What about Birmees workforce? They have to fulfil the same requirements. 100.000$ Covid Insurance and 14 day quarantaine for every worker when crossing border... I don't think the soup will be eaten as hot as it's served..

Again they neglect people with families and young kids. They don't seem to realise that kids need there mothers or fathers.

I wonder what this means for visa runs. Quarantine every time? Possibility of not getting back in?

Yeah, guess I won't be going to Thailand any time soon. We were supposed to be there now visiting the in-laws. 😒

Feel sorry for the normal Thai people they have no chance

If it was Ebola I would totally understand but this over reaction will cost the country dear. In terms of tourism it's a death knell. In terms of long stay foriegners not a chance. It's like they are purposely trying to ruin there own economy over a virus we now know much more about and has been blown totally out of proportion. Crazy times.

I’ve been telling my mates that the western world is fucked and Thailand is closing down its borders by tightening entry requirements and this is that nail in the coffin .. now I have to plan again for my entry and hopes for teaching over there . I have offers of volunteering for local rescue teams as an English speaking volounteer

I wonder if this could be used to apply

My father was wrongfully recorded as a covid death .. long story short I’m challenging this three healthcare professionals prepared to stand up in court with evidence he didn’t have covid

I got his possessions three or four days after his passing

The one healthcare professional who had close contact with my father said both her and me should have covid

So I guess if covid is a thing then I’m immune or he never had covid in the first place ..

So it’s a tough one and I’m hoping that someone in the group may have some advice who’s over there and more clues up

They are truly ensuring that people will not be coming to Thailand because of all the expense just to enter the country and will choose alternative countries to vacation.

These conditions are to be there even when flights resume on July? Medical certificate etc? Tourism will be hit very badly I guess.
