TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around the frustrations of expats and foreigners trying to return to Thailand amid ongoing travel restrictions due to COVID-19. Many users express distress over extended periods away from their families, with some sharing experiences of being stuck in various countries. There is consensus that international flights are severely limited, and uncertainty remains regarding when Thailand will allow foreigners back in, with mentions of potential border reopenings in July. Participants discuss the impact of the pandemic on business and family ties, highlighting a collective hope for returning to Thailand soon.

As is for now there are talks about starting in July after stage 4 in easing up the implications, thai also have plans to start flying to Europe on 1 of July, if they don’t go bankrupt, so if everything goes right we might return in July, I also have over a 100 days onboard and want to go home, so this is the goal, but only time can show 😉 let’s cross our fingers 🤞🤞🤞

And I am stuck in Mexico. All my 3 flights back to Bangkok were canceled last month. I live in Hua Hin. Mexico has just extended my visa for another 180 days. Looks like I am here for a while now. The good news is we are coming out of lockdown here on June 1st.

When are you people going to wake up. The virus is not coming from within Thailand, it from people coming in from other countries.

If your family are Thai citizens they can go to 32 countries without a visa . I'm very doubtful that we'll be able to get into Thailand anytime soon . I'm planning to meet my girlfriend in goergia . Get one year visas on arrival

Possibly a couple of countries missing off the list. But also many more countries like India where an e visa is simpleto get. In normal circumstances . 😁👍

No clue when foreigners will be allowed back in Thailand. They could extend it to August 1 when July starts to come closer just like what they’ve been doing every month

80 days in Guernsey , covid19 free but can’t get out , want to see my missus in Khon Kaen , no chance for another month at least , should have got married years ago would be easier , royal Thai Embassy closed in London but don’t really want to go to England , seems to be one of the worst infected

I'm in Khon Kaen. Really doing well here and immigration superb. Life in the country is pretty much the same. A modest life and just being aware of the virus. The curfew is nothing as it's bed time dark o'clock.

It's the entry and exit that's your hurdle. Now nothing until atleast into July. Places are opening up and rather rapidly. Could be a stop to the 5000 payout but hopefully all is carefully excercised and get back to travels. Be aswell sat patient and ride it out for now.

you care about your staff...the Junta has never, & will never. Starvation & suicide is killing more than the CV in Thailand.
