New Rules…

Let me get this straight.... after reading many articles on the lack of tourist they're once again changed the rules...... so, if I come to Thailand on the standard 60-day visa and then extended 30 days and during that time, I spend $8,000/$10,000 enjoying myself and at the same time contributing to Thailand's tourism industry........ and then I decide I'd like to spend another 60 or 90 days having a great time and contributing even more $$$ to the local area and I will be refused?

Ummmm .........

Looks like a visa exempt crackdown is under way

According to the article posted by my immigration office visa exempt entries are to be restricted to 2 at all borders, land and air. Extensions are no longer guaranteed either.

This recent article below reflecting the viewpoint of a senior Thai Immigration Official paints a dismal picture of foreigners coming to Thailand after July 1 in numbers beyond a few hundred returning Work Permit holders and Spouses of Thai citizens, Diplomats and other odds and ends people who want to deal with the obstacles. It seems the Covid-19 Health Certificate with Negative Test will remain along with the $100,000 Covid Health Insurance. This isn't a big surprise. But the discussion here of a Vaccine having to be available before a return to normality is daunting as a release date of any Vaccine is anybody's guess. Please read and provide feedback.

And for those of you who want to attack me - the messenger - then Don't.
