I think if you get that visa before you travel, health insurance is required. If you apply here in Thailand, don’t need health insurance. Sometimes that cost is a consideration.
lucky you. I’ve had bags lost, delayed, rerouted myself, family & friends as well. It’s up to you; if there’s anything you don’t want to be separated from, carry it onboard. That’s my choice.
I’ve traveled into Thailand for years and have never been asked to show onward flights. Maybe it depends on the airline. ? And yes, it’s very easy to get an extension to the 30 day visa exemption.
