TLDR : Answer Summary
To find discounted Business Class fares for flights from the USA to Thailand, it's recommended to utilize various tools like Google Flights and Skyscanner for price comparisons. Flexibility with travel dates can result in significant savings, as fares can vary widely based on demand and timing. Booking directly through airline websites after comparing prices on aggregator sites is advised for better customer service in case of issues. Some travelers suggest waiting until closer to the departure date for potential last-minute Business Class upgrades at discounted rates. Additionally, exploring Premium Economy options might provide comfort at a lower price.

My experience from auditing suppliers to the Aerospace industry is that the earlier u book first or business class flights the cheaper the cost. The price will get more expensive the longer u wait to book. Just do an airline price check now and watch the prices increase day by day

I have luck when I search “one way” flights. I use Google flights.

I will fly premium economy to Asia, and return to Los Angeles business class

For some reason, flights back from Asia to the US seem to be cheaper at times

Pick non business class . 2 days before your flight they will offer you business class at a big discount. They never fill business class . Who wants to pay $4500 instead of $1053 ? I would rather spend the other $3400 in Thailand. They will offer you business class for $1450 more two days before flight .

non US carriers are often cheaper -- I love the Istanbul to Phuket connection - United partners

I fly often with Qatar in BC. They are almost always the best priced since Covid when East Asian airlines stopped. If you pick up a Chase Saphire card you’d harvest all your points. But discounted I’ve never seen that.

Where in the US? I fly Singapore Airlines from LAX to Phuket (via SIN).

Just use Google flights instead of a site like Expedia or other travel sites. They give the price of all those plus the airline directly. After selecting your flights they give links directing you to the checkout of each one of those sites. Much easier.

Oddly enough sometimes booking directly with the airline, but through the link Google flights gives, is actually cheaper than going to their own website/app and booking the exact same flights. I just booked round-trip flight from Bangkok to Chicago and it was 10% cheaper this way. Several more local flights I've booked this way were also cheaper. So you can get a discounted price over their own and still get the benefits of booking directly, like it being much easier to change anything.

Some “Premium Economy” have good reviews. Emirates supposed to have a #1 in Premium Economy. I did business class once on EVA and found the seat too constricted. I prefer their Premium Economy. Just something to think about if the prices are skyrocketing.

I use EVA Premium Economy.

Business class seats are very limited and are not hard to fill for airlines… why would you expect a discounted fare? 🤷🏽‍♂️

Google flight and Skyscanner for international flights

That doesn’t exist. It’s gonna cost about $5,000

Use Expedia or similar sites to seek out the airline that flies business class from the airport you will depart from. If you find that reasonable fare, go to that airline’s website to compare the fare and if ok, book directly with that airline. If any issues arises, working directly with that airline gives you better results that with a 3rd party (Expedia and others).

Use Google flights. Same airline can have very different prices even within one week, so if you are flexible, choose cheapest dates
Henrik *****
If you want to try the business experience, the don’t look for the cheapest fares.

Henrik Mau why not ? He’ll still get the same seat, the same treatment but at a discount. Seems logical to me.

Having said that, I can’t see any discounts being applied.
