I am due to fly into Bangkok, on a 60 day Tourist Visa which I am hoping to extend by a further 30 days. On arrival at the airport I see that a TM30 form must be submitted within 24 hours. I am staying with my girl friend who leases a Condo from her landlord, and as such I am not paying for the accommodation.

My question is under the circumstances, does a TM30 need to be submitted? If it is needed who submits it to immigration?

If a TM30 is not submitted initially, would it affect my submission to extend my stay?

I look forward to your response

Regards

Hello everyone,

couldnt find anything about it, most probably because I dont know how it is called, would much appreciate if anyone could help.

But when I arrive in Thailand at the airport and go through all the immigration there, after going to the place where I am about to stay, do I need to go to the local immigration to tell them where exactly I am staying?

Is that a rule, or just something I missunderstood, maybe not all visas have to do that? Got a 60 day tourist visa.

Thanks in advance.

Am thinking about getting that special tourist visa but holding me back is that so it seems you do need to have booked and payed in advance accomodation the whole period after the compulsory ASQ period...

Or maybe a non immigrant O much easier?

Just about to visit Thailand for my first time. Do hotels ask to keep your visa during your stay like In Vietnam?

I'm on a non-o retirement visa and my annual condo contract is about to be ended soon.

I plan to take my car and have a "coast to coast" trip in Thailand for a month or two and rent a new place only after I will be back to town.

I have 3 questions regarding my plan:

1. Can I remain on that visa without having a permanent residence for that period?

2. How do I manage with the TM-30 requirement, in case I will be staying from time to time in camping sites, or in small un-registered guest houses?

3. Anything else that I should know/consider, regarding my plan?

Thanks in advance for your advices!
