I’m not doubting you, but where is the source for this news?

Are there any travel issues that anyone knows of if I went to HCMC vietnam next Wednesday for my new visa as of right now?

no issues here, i am the OP from that post. haven't had any issues since that day, i think the IO was just having a stressful day and wanted to ask some additional questions. i have a non-o M thai spouse and a WP i have had no problem with labor. i think immigration and labour just do not talk with each other so they do not know each others rules.

if you are still living at the same residence and have your previous one still stapled in your passport, you just need to bring that and tell them that you left the country and came back - that is how it works here in chiang rai, cannot confirm for other offices.

if your local immigration is open today, then today is the day. otherwise, if it is closed on saturdays [and sundays], then monday is fine.

i went a few years ago. at that time [2015] their website stated they gave non-o multiple based on marriage, i called 3 separate times to confirm and each time they said yes they give it. i showed up, they acted as if they had never seen a non-taiwanese or thai person in their office before and said that they do not give that visa out. and after about an hour of talking they just gave me a non-o single entry after stating they only gave tourist visas. things may have changed as that was almost 5 years ago. it is a weird office.

Ho Chi Minh City is also an option for the multi non-o without funds
