TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their experience applying for a 1-year extension based on marriage to a Thai national at Chiang Rai immigration. They provided a comprehensive list of required documents, which included application photos, passport pages, TM6 form, marriage certificate, spouse's ID, birth certificates of children, bank verification, and more. Although it was a busy day at the immigration office, their process took about 45 minutes, and they were informed that home visits are only conducted during the initial application for such extensions.
