Went and applied for my 1-year extension based on Thai wife yesterday at Chiang Rai immigration. The hand out they give with the reqs is an okay start but there is more that is needed. Here is what is needed, I was given the one month under consideration stamp. I had originals of everything but nothing was asked to be seen besides my passport. x2 of everything.

Application and visa photos

Passport and visa related pages

Tm6

Address notice slip

Marriage certificate

KR 2

Wife ID and housebook

Children birth certificates and housebook entries

Bank letter verifying funds (2 month method)

Updated bank book

Hand drawn map to house (their map form)

House rental contract

House owner ID and housebook

Photo outside of house with number

Photo in living room

Photo in bedroom

1900 baht

Busy day at immigration but our whole process took about 45 minutes. Officer said no one will visit our home and that it’s only done on the first time applying for the 1-year extension.

They provided a comprehensive list of required documents, which included application photos, passport pages, TM6 form, marriage certificate, spouse's ID, birth certificates of children, bank verification, and more.
