I am assuming not but I will ask anyway….

Can you leave the country during the 30-day under consideration period after applying for 1-year extension based on Thai spouse? Just trying to plan ahead a bit.

My current 1 year ends on September 26.

I am hoping to travel somewhere the first week of October, which would be during that 30-day under consideration period.

Or

Would I be able to apply for my 1-year extension on August 26 instead (30 days prior, Chiang rai immigration) and have the 30-day under consideration be complete in time for me to travel early October.

Thank you for help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual inquired about the possibility of traveling abroad during the 30-day under consideration period after applying for a 1-year extension based on their Thai spouse. They were concerned about the timings, as their current visa expires on September 26 and they wish to travel in early October. A comment clarified that one can travel during this 30-day period, but they would need to acquire a new Re-Entry Permit and inform the local Immigration Office about their travel plans.

You can apply during the last 30 days BUT the 30 days under consideration is part of the 1 year Extension of Stay and added to your currect Extension.

You can travel during these 30 days BUT need a new Re-Entry Permit after the under consideration stamp is placed in the passport to get the same end date.

And you need to inform your local Immigration Office about your travel plans, so they can organize the possible house visit.
