Is it possible to change a non-o ME based on spouse to a non-b in country? I have had a WP through a school for a few years but have just kept the non-o.
But now with things the way they are and since I cannot fulfill the finances for the 1 year non-o extension by the time my current 60 day extension (actual visa is now expired and I just got a 60 day extension based on Thai family) is up I need to start thinking of other options just incase and the school is willing to help me out with a non-b if needed.
I have til mid-June and hoping this thing gets figured out by then but who knows what it’ll be like. Just starting to weigh my options out. I had a flight booked to Vietnam last week to get a new visa but the day before my flight left it got cancelled and VN shut the doors. Very unfortunate timing. USA passport. CR immigration if that matters. I think I know the answer but wanted to check. (The answer is probably no)
