TLDR : Answer Summary
The user living in Chiang Rai is concerned about the address update process at immigration after obtaining a new visa. They hold a TM30 receipt and usually just provide this for updates. They seek clarification on whether a new form with landlord details is necessary or if the receipt suffices, especially since they are acquiring a different visa.
as long as you have that hand written letter from your wife asking the consulate to issue the visa you'll be fine using the exact same documentation as the thai consulate in Savannakhet.
yea, I messaged the embassy last week to confirm with them the requirements and their response was 'follow the website'. so I should be all good to go. I will write a report when upon my return to thailand
