Why would you leave a job in BKK with work permit, to change to DTV? I’d find it suspicious too.

I also did my DTV in Taipei after working in BKK for 5 years and they were very suspicious of why and how. But I did Soft Power , and they seemed to be ok with just me wanting to chill for a while.

Just ask leasing companies. But why banks? This isn’t a bank issue. You’re renting a car long term.

There is no specific deal for DTV people. There is no leases targeted towards DTV holders.

Almost certainly you will pay more as a DTV, if they offer it at all.

If you expect to get a car lease like, similar to financing a car, then I would say your chances are practically 0

Just think “if I was working at the embassy, would I approve this” and then work with that.

1 appointment, 5 year visa? Does sound a bit insane

Probably because you are eligible for visa free entry?

They will almost certainly try to charge you.

I took apart my PC and got a new tower when I arrived.

Cancel it once you’ve finished your studies

What you're talking about doesn't sound correct. You apply for the Work Visa, and then you get 3 month Non-B visa, and once in Thailand apply for your work permit and then your extension of stay. At no point should your work permit hold you up from staying in Thailand.

The non-b Visa can be granted in 1 day if all your paperwork is in order.
