TLDR : Answer Summary
The original post raises concerns about a visa application that is pending approval for a future period (December 2023 - December 2024). Numerous comments suggest that the poster might have been scammed by a visa agent, especially given that applying for certain visa types, like the DTV visa, can often be done independently without an agent. Several commenters share their suspicions about the poster's understanding of their visa application, with warnings to be cautious about using agents who may mislead or take advantage of clients.

This is NOT 🚫 the first time that a Thai Visa Agent scammed a person into applying for the DTV Visa. In a recent month, a lady in Phuket was scammed. She wanted to get the DTV visa with Muay Thai training. The agent said not a problem. Send me 40,000 Thai baht and I will tell you when we will go out of Thailand to get the DTV Visa. Sadly she did and waited and waited for time to go get the DTV visa. 57 days later and on OVERSTAY she Left Thailand, paid 20,000 Thai baht fine ... en route to her home country, the USA.

Know who you are doing business with. Check out the agency with Expat groups where you live.

You don’t know what visa it is you applied for? Very strange, no wonder you get scammed.

I own a visa company and would never do this to my customers. Always communicate well and reply right away. I feel this person scammed you, and you should share more details. If they did scam you please tell people thier name. I will shame them and tell my friends to do so too

Just do it yourself?

I’m not sure of the background. It sounds like you don’t even know what visa type they are applying for on your Behalf?

You do not need an Agent to apply for DTV. And if you think you do, then someone is pretty messed up.

Just do it yourself.

Your post is not clear. Who is it that you are chatting with in the SMS? Why do you need a visa for months passed?

looks like they used an agent and it was submitted hence its "pending" in other words it was submitted BUT no word from RTE (unless it was a pure scam)

- It is still confusing because the Original Poster highlights his concern around how can the government now deny or approve “time passed” and also mentions that he is unable to go home. It sounds like he is already in Thailand and whatever status he was on is now expired and he is waiting for a new visa to cover 2 months that already passed (or 12 months because he states Dec 2023-Dec 2024)

Is this the company you work for applying for a visa on your behalf?

What's the relevance to the DTV visa?

You probably got scammed using an agent. Why you use an agent if you can upload everything yourself?
