Can I apply for the Digital Nomad DTv Visa from Thailand on a tourist visa?

Hi everyone, next month I’ll be traveling to Thailand with a tourist visa, but I’m interested in applying for the Digital Nomad DTv Visa once I’m there. I have a few questions and would really appreciate if someone with experience could help me out:

1. Is it possible to apply for the DTv Visa easily from within Thailand while on a tourist visa?

2. If not, would it be possible to go to a nearby country, like Cambodia, and apply for it from there?

Thank you so much in advance for any advice or experiences you can share!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus from community responses is that you cannot apply for the Digital Nomad DTv Visa while in Thailand on a tourist visa; you need to apply from outside of Thailand, such as in a nearby country like Cambodia. Some users suggest that the application process is relatively quick, possibly taking about a week, and recommend applying sooner rather than later.

Yes, my agent did it online, she was excellent. Took about a week to get approved then once approved leave and come back and get the DTV stamp

Was so much easier using an agent, she knew the format and info that needed to be submitted how they like it

Did you get a tourist visa or you hold a passport from a visa exempt country ??

1. No

2. Yes , give it about a week trip somewhere near by.

But you’re probably best applying for it now. Why not?

Im confused about pay first the e-visa and maybe they don't accept me the visa. For the financial evidence is enough a bank account screenshots and the las two payments?

no, schreenshots are not accepted. They want scanned bank statements for 1-6 months depending on what embassy you apply through.

And yes, you pay when you apply. It is a fee for processing the visa application (they do the process, no matter if the application is approved or denied).

Have to apply outside of Thailand, the application process doesn’t take that long, could you do it where you are currently located?
