well you need to have 10,000 baht in cash to give to he embassy. The 40 USD is to pay immigration at the airport to get a visa on arrival. And you'll need spending money for however long you plan on staying...also I recommend staying at an Airbnb vs a hotel.

Pay an agent that has a money back guarantee if it doesn't work out.. I haven't heard anyone having problems applying from Laos. I sure didn't.

I'm in the same boat at as you and I have my DTV. You go to class whenever you want to go. Your visa status isn't dependant on how well you can go a roundhouse kick. It's not even dependant on how often you attend class.(it's advised you do what you can but basically once you pay for a DTV and get approved it's been signed sealed and delivered for 5 years.

That's why I used ISSA Compass. They have a money back guarantee if you get rejected. Also they have a 98% success rate and 5 star rated on Google. People need do research and use the correct agent.

Be careful where you put your things for storage. Once I moved my facility kept raising the fees. like every 3 or 4 months. (It's a common practice in the industry)

I'd be VERY careful if I were you about performing in Thailand. Big case happened a few months ago of a woman being a dj at an event. The police arrested her on stage and put her in a very dirty cell for a few days before deporting her... I don't know what channels you need to go through to get the okay to perform but I would triple check before you do. Apparently this DJ guy wasn't even being paid and still received a harsh treatment
