Good info. The seeding time of money is very useful

Just out of interest is it easier to apply outside of Singapore for a Singapore citizen? Asking because Singapore Thai Embassy is seen as a good location to apply for the B when needing it for Work Permit.
Greg ********
Once the B is cancelled you usually have 7 days to leave Thailand. You should just be able to fly somewhere and apply for the DTV

It might just be a Passport and SIM check that you need. There are a few checks that Bangkok Bank are making and one is that your passport and SIM registration aligns. As for other checks it can depend on a number of factors. The branch opened, , date of account opening, how the account is operated and of course visa type. There seems to be no consistency.

It depends. Not everyone who has had their account restricted gets it unfrozen and not closed. PS: passport only is not enough.

You need to find out how long the money needs to be seeded in your personal account where you will apply. You say you just transferred the 500k to your personal account. Some Embassies require 3 months and others 6 months seeding.

Anonymous participant Good one. I have had mixed dealing with banks here. The one that all of our salaries went into was very good. Were even proactive sometimes :-)

I think you need to check whether that embassy has local residence requirements. Take note that Nepali and Chinese Passport holders must provide additional documents when applying for the DTV.

I would wager most banks have no clue about the medical treatment clause. I bet the international patient desks at the likes of Bumrungrad do.
