Anonymous participant I was at a DTV promotions events yesterday and your question pretty much came up. Answer was show both accounts and short explanation in cover note. One thing they said some Embassies do not like is just a lump sum in an account and no activity. A bigger red flag is the lump sum deposited just for the DTV.

Anonymous participant Vietnam flights are cheap and plentiful. You do not need Vietnam Vida as a Brit.

As suggested. Show both accounts and explain in short note one is savings and one is your day to day account. That covers your bases.

At DTV promotions events yesterday it was advised not to apply in Cambodia at this time due to the ongoing Thai-Cambodia tensions

Currently there are no limits. Not heard of anyone pulled yet on DTV for this pattern. People coming regularly on Visa Exempt are getting pulled ie "Month on Month Off" workers and being told to get DTV. This visa was mentioned to a pal in that situation by immigration officer.

Should be absolutely no issue. That is IF, and a big if right now, Immigration tighten up re-entry rules. Entry numbers are the priority right now from both presentations yesterday. They will favour entries over extensions I would suspect. :-)

He was asked for USD because he is applying in the USA. They explicitly say what they want. Bad example.
