If anyone is going for an extension and have completed a TDAC you need it printed out and signed for immigration.

It is not on the list of requirements for O, B etc etc as it is all new. I am at immigration office and I and others have been sent to get printed copies.

EDIT: This was Chiang Mai Immigration Office. - the First 2 document checks did not pick up on it only when the extensions was being updated in the system.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user at the Chiang Mai Immigration Office shared that for visa extensions, it is necessary to have a printed and signed copy of the TDAC (Thailand Declaration). While this requirement is not explicitly listed for various visa types (such as O or B), it was requested during their document checks when updating the extension in the system. Other users noted varying requirements based on location, with some offices, like those on Ko Samui, not asking for the document. Future regulations may mandate the TDAC QR Code for more transactions with Thai government entities.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be tdac.in.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

I cannot say 100% but I am sure the one on your phone should be enough if needed at all. I have have come in through BKK twice now since implementation and no need to show. If they can see your immigration record and visa it would seem the TDAC is viewable.

in fact, the TDAC QR Code is envisioned and in the future will most likely be required for more transactions, not just with Thai Immigration, but other Thai government entities, as stated in the draft regulations by Thai Ministers

in the original Thai language Ministerial Regulations implementing TDAC, several times TDAC is referred to as "TM.6 Online", thus any old Thai Immigration requirements needing the old Paper TM.6 Card will most likely ask for the TDAC QR Code (printed out hard copy) now and in the future

Thanks for the update. Please, specify your location or which Immigration office you visited. They all have different rules so it is important 😊

Never done a new TDAC. I thought it was all online, do you get some PDF to print at the end of the process?

I'm my immiigration queue Monday about 10 in front of me sent back by IO at the counter. for not having it. However, when I came in 3rd May they were checking before you got to the queue and sent to the terminals where there were helpers.

No need to print it for entry. It is sent by email or you can download it. I have come in two times since May 1st and not even had to show it. It is tied to you passport and visa number so the IO has it on the screen when he scans your passport.

Depends on the immigration office as usual: they don't ask for it here on Ko Samui

Yeah - this was Chiang Mai and obviously only people who had completed one. All my papers had been checked and were being processed. I sat down and she shouted my name and asked me to go and get a printed copy.

Anyone who entered on or after May 1 will need the TDAC printed for extension on any entry method.

What? Why or you find problem from nothing? Forgot about tdac after entering

I did not find the problem. Immigration sent me to have a copy printed. I was submitting documents for an extension and they wanted a copy of the TDAC - I was not the only one sent to get it printed off. Is that simple enough for you?
