I used wise yesterday to send from uk to Thai account. Took 1 minute for the funds to arrive. Wise every time for me

I haven’t done with starling. I tend to use it as a spending card for convenience as the rate they give is sometimes better than the actual exchange rate some how. Normally I use wise to transfer money from my uk bank account to thai bank. I then use starling for general purchases and I exchange £50 notes for Thai cash too.

I use mine all the time out here and it’s great. Good exchange rate and no issues using it at all.

Depends where to and which airline. Flights have been leaving Thailand but not all carriers are operating

Why would you want to move to a country when you have no idea where you want to actually move to once there?

Come over for a few months and see what there is. Your budget is tight that’s for sure so you’ll be out of town somewhere. Consider transport when you’re here and how you’ll get around. You won’t be able to live here on a tourist visa without loads of issues, especially once the country opens up again.

Thailand is a fantastic place to visit and live, but be under no illusions, this place can also be your worst nightmare if you try to be clever with the rules. Best bet is to visit and stay for 6 months then make an informed decision And get the right visa for your needs

Probably visit the Thai embassy in India as you’ve been advised to do already

Don’t think it’s been announced anywhere yet. Just have to keep an eye on the daily briefings for an update. Doubtful it’ll be anytime this month though imo
