TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, flights are still leaving Thailand in early July 2020, although they are operating at significantly reduced capacity and limited flight schedules. Various airlines, including Qatar Airways and KLM, have been providing outbound flights to destinations in Europe and beyond. However, travelers may face challenges upon arrival at their destination, including quarantine requirements and entry restrictions into certain countries. It's advisable to stay updated through official airline and embassy channels regarding availability and necessary documentation.

Here's to hoping the emergency decree extends past 31 July because it's the only way for tourist visa holders to actually live in Thailand long-term without doing visa runs anymore
No there's not. Japan airlines no flights. I'm tired of theoretical babbling. Theoretically you could become an astronaut, I'll bet everything I have you won't. This isn't about one person on a fifty hour flight. There's more than one person involved. Hong Kong is also shut. Ultracrepidarians silence , your need to talk about what you don't know is pathological
You can always turn it off if you tired of it.. Just saying

And that's not USA us it? Korea and Taiwan are closed to all Thais in July no transit. Guess what denial heads that means no flights out from Thailand to either country which is a hub to jump the Pacific
there are multiple options to the US, via Japan, Hong Kong, the Middle East and Europe as well. The restriction for transit in Korea is specifically on Thai nationals, I don't believe it applies to US citizens coming from Thailand.

That's TO Thailand. There are flights out of Thailand daily and have been throughout this. It does depend where exactly you want to go but OP I think wants to get to Europe, which is entirely possible.
it's is but the flights out are mainly ones used to bring Thais in and are on the return journey. They don't run daily or even weekly and most need to be booked through the consulate of your country
there are flights connecting to Europe daily. Some you may need to go through your consulate maybe but many can be booked online direct with the airlines. I posted a link above to the British Embassy page detailing which airlines are flying and how to book.
the announcement is about when/whether they are going to open up for "normal" international passenger services incoming. Currently there is a general air ban on incoming international passengers other than a few specific exemptions. So it's about when that is lifted.
Naturally with incoming passengers so restricted most airlines are not running outgoing flights either, it doesn't make financial sense to fly in empty to pick up a few passengers. But there are a few that are- the British Embassy lists seven carriers flying to Europe or the Middle East with connections to the UK. One (Eva) even flies direct to London.

There is nothing going in or out. So why ask such silly questions. Be patient.
The main airlines have taken legal action against the government

The MPs all want it scrapped as the airlines and hotels are suffering badly I think you will find it’s scrapped altogether in a couple of weeks.

Try checking your brain. See if there’s activity there.

It is not dilutional it’s fact. Go ahead and try. Then let me know.

When arriving in the uk now you have to give them an address and contact number then self isolate at that address they also randomly call that address to check but it is only dependant on you giving a true address which is why they are considering scrapping it.
are the UK considering scrapping the 14 day home quarantine requirement altogether or introducing compulsory quarantine in it's place? I ask as I have a friend planning on returning to London next month
this is not true. Why do you keep spouting such bullshit? I linked you the UK government right above. You can self-isolate at home. Where are you getting this that you need to pay $2,000? And why would you need to pay in dollars in the UK, they use pounds there.
I know Australia requires hotel isolation in the city you first arrive at in Australia. That's the rule in Australia. You don't seem to get that the UK is not part of Australia and doesn't follow Australian rules.
you forget to mention the borders are shut down between all states at the moment. Even if you arrive in Melbourne and do 2 week lockdown you cannot cross borders to go home. So this nonsense they are flights home is nonsense. What you walk home to other state where you live. Because it’s all shutdown. What you provide is not factual information.
you keep banging on about Australia. Have you ever considered that not everyone here is Australian? That there are countries outside Australia? I am not Australian. Does that blow your mind?
If you are an Australian resident or citizen and actually want to go home there are flights regularly leaving Bangkok to different destinations within Australia. Register with the Australian embassy and they will regularly update you with the details of such flights. Yes you will have to do hotel quarantine for two weeks on arrival and if you are able to show proof of a permanent address in another state I believe that you can apply for an exemption to cross the border. Not sure if you would have to complete a second quarantine on arrival in your home state though
OP is not Australian. He doesn't want to go to Australia. So why do you keep banging on about Australia and how asking about flights is a "silly question"? I linked the British Embassy above which lists seven ways to get back to Europe.
How do Australian state rules affect someone trying to get to London and transiting in Frankfurt?
I do not ask silly questions My post referred to a recent article stating flights both in and out of Thailand were to both be suspended until further notice.I am constantly looking at online departures and numerous airline websites to try to determine whether there is any truth in it which I doubt because I know at least 3 airlines that are flying out from Bangkok each week.Yes I am fully aware that incoming flights are impossible to obtain but I need to gather as much information as I can before attempting to book and pay for my ticket out.For example Qatar air are operating out at the moment but looking on the Bangkok departures 2 out of 3 flights yesterday were cancelled for whatever reason.
the flights that the British Embassy lists aren't being cancelled. I think the other flights you see cancelled are flights that have been cancelled for a long time, but maybe still on the schedule you are looking at.
With Qatar specifically they ARE still running, and have been throughout this, but I believe have rearranged their schedule a few times. So there might be a risk you'd be moved to a different flight, but I think if you booked Qatar you'd get home.
what do you mean from where, they leave from Suvaranabhumi :/ Now you might not be able to get a flight to your country FROM thailand but you can definitely fly out to another destination and then figutre out how to get back to where you're from
the country is CLOSED to regular foreigners, so no you're not gonna arrive back here, BUT I was correcting your false statement saying you can't fly OUT of thailand, you definitely can..
Thank you for the information I will probably give it another couple of weeks then take the plunge and book. I am trying to get to my boat which is in Turkey but that’s another story.
you are simply wrong here. There are lots of flights leaving Thailand every day. The British embassy lists 7 different carriers flying back to the UK for example.
that’s good to know on their website it doesn’t give available flights until July

If you are from the UK or Ireland, there are still a few options. The British Embassy maintains a good feed on what is currently running on their Facebook page, this is the update for this week.
Eva flies direct to London, and you have options of Lufthansa, Swiss Air, Korean Air, Qatar Airways, KLM or Gulf air with connections onwards to the UK. Many of those connect to Dublin as well including Qatar through Doha, or if you get to the UK easy to get back to Ireland from there, it's a common travel area and not restricted.
thanks for info! Been trying to find out how likely they were to fly, hoping I could use the credit for a flight they cancelled on me in March. Which Expedia has yet to hand over....Before July 31st visa deadline 🤞. But they're all playing hard to get. And given my growing collection of unredeemable-for-now flight vouchers due to covid Sagan I'm running out of gambling funds.🙄

A large Outbreak anywhere can happen at anytime that could cause an immediately change. Scheduled flights turned into into try again next month. Religious gatherings, Sporting events political rallys??? Flights have become a Crap shoot.

If they don’t extend the amnesty past 31 July, then those who don’t have a Non-B/O visa have no choice but to get out. What other option do you have?
. People who are on amnesty following tourist visas might get a notice to leave as quickly as possible. No-one knows at this stage, but it appears the government is focusing on domestic tourism for Thais, and that's why some national parks are closed to foreigners. They want them out!
wow, really? Incredible.. I have been here since feb and had the visa auto extension even though I’m ready to go I feel like it won’t be possible to fly on July 1st to France
Australian residents and citizens have been able to enter Australia all through the lockdown. There are less flights and you may have to take a domestic flight within Australia to get to your final destination. But Australia has only closed the border to foreigners not to it's own people
Your passport country has no choice but to allow you to return. There are also repatriation flights which are running daily out of Thailand. For locals returning back home, they allow you to enter even though borders are closed
you can book and go to the airport if it doesn’t get cancelled yeah. If you get that far and don’t have a work permit, letter of permission from the Thai embassy, insurance, money to pay for state quarantine and so on and so on, then you will not be allowed to board the flight that you also will not be refunded for

Pretty sure KLM are currently flying but as Bobby said they won't be bringing foreigners in. Pretty sure I saw one of their planes when I was playing golf right next to Swampy the other day
Bobby ********
KLM might be flying, but they'll be bringing Thai citizens and cargo IN, and be taking foreign passengers OUT. That could well be the status quo for the next few months
Unless you have a valid work permit, get a letter from your company saying you need to be back here, apply for permission to enter, get a certificate of entry, have 100K USD in covid insurance and a negative covid test AND go into quarantine for 14 days once you get back here you're not getting in
Tod *********
that is a subject for another topic.. At this time thailand is CLOSED to foreigners coming IN to the country.

Repatriation flights 4 or 5 times a week. Return flights minimum and you need impossible documentation to return and 14 day quarantine at your expense. I would stay here for the moment. Its safer.

You have no grasp of the semantics of repatriation flight

Always been allowed. Just a limited number of flights due to airlines reducing their schedules. A lot of cancellations. ALSO...if you leave, you don't know when you will be permitted to return or how difficult it will be to re-enter.

yes no problem but consider carefully the risk of your return to the kingdom being disrupted
need to find country that will let you in. Most or all will req quarantene , medicsl cert etc

I live in Qatar. Once you get to Qatar, you have options. Qatar Airways resumed flights to US this week, but everything is pricey. I'd book fully refundable flights.

Depends where to and which airline. Flights have been leaving Thailand but not all carriers are operating
J ******************
Which airline are you hoping to fly with, it won't be Thai, Qantas, Jetstar if you are talking about Australia. If you were to check airport activity at various airports it is obvious that Airports are operating at less than 10% capacity and that will not change in the near future. Some are saying there is no problem getting out, but that is only possible by the limited number of destinations which may not include where you want to go. There are rules that apply to both the departing and arriving country.
the PM hinted and something very different yesterday. He even said airlines are reluctant to fly. If you believe that. Gearing up for no opening flight in July perhaps?
