Generally if you have everything prepared meticulously you have your one year extension done in one day, taking a few hours from arriving at the immigration office and waiting.

However it is quite often so that there might be some requirements some paper required some procedure to get the paper that makes you have to go and get it somewhere else and come back another day.

After some years you've learned every intricacy of every rule and every requirement and you can more or less nail it!

But expect to learn and possibly come back several times so don't leave it till the last moment.

For example if you need to season the money make sure that you have the right amount of time etc. make sure that the money was transferred in the required way typically wire transfer etc if that's the requirement of that immigration office...

Anonymous participant 419 schools lose their ability to help people get visas if they become a Visa School where attendance is zero.

nothing anyone said implicates that solution! You going to the bank and talking to them the only probable outcome is that they close your bank account if you start talking about it. Leaving and involving a foreign embassy the thai I wouldn't expect you to be able to produce maybe the correct papers and you possibly get other hurdles.

Why would going to laos have anything to do with seasoning?

And why would you open up second bank account?

The most important thing is always that depending on your local immigration office where you going to apply they might require the money to have been wired IE transferred from abroad which needs to be proven by the bank by your special statement that the money was coming from abroad...

If you're transferring the money the wise that would mean that you need to say that it's for Visa purposes.

But as always check the local requirements of your immigration office.

And you need to apply 3 weeks before the expiration of your current entry.

Anonymous participant 167 My point is wy would you have to pay taxes in "your homecountry" or where you earn it, if you don't spend 180 days there ;-)

Just give the money to thailand instead! (And it "probably would be less taxes"?)

I mean why are you tax-resident in Sweden/UK/Europe if you're there less than "180 days"

Anonymous participant 167 well it's interesting if you're spending less than 180 days in that other country why should we be paying taxes there? Most countries don't have worldwide taxation....
