Arrived Thailand 08/04/25 via Suvarnabhumi on DTV issued from Sydney, Australia. No questions, no comments, no concerns. Straight through no problems!
Edit: I forgot to say, this is my second entry into Thailand on this Visa. I read a post tow or three weeks ago by someone saying they needed to show all their DTV documents which they had on their laptop.
Hong Kong border run return to CNX: I have a remote work DTV (issued from New York) and am living in Thailand with my spouse and four children (all with DTVs connected to mine). Last night we did our third entry to Thailand with the DTV. First two times there were no questions asked of any of us--just a look at the DTV printout, some computer entry, and a 180-day stamp for everyone. Last night after presenting my DTV printout we were all taken to the long standing desk on the left side in the immigration room and my spouse and oldest son and I were asked to fill out a form, including name, birthday, visa issue place, arrival flight info, phone number, address in Thailand, etc. It didn't fit the situation that well; it asked for return flight info which I don't have so I left it blank, and one of the last lines was "Other" and the officer asked me to write how much money I had available in that spot. I mentally added up what I thought I had in several bank accounts and wrote down a number. IO didn't ask for any proof, took the form and sent us back to the regular immigration lines and we got 180-day stamps and were on our way. Some speculations: my impression of the IO was more like he was going through the motions than actually interested in the content; I wonder if perhaps some new instructions recently came down the pipeline for collecting more data on DTV holders and am wondering if any other CNX DTV arrivals have had this experience. It also made me wonder if current proof of funds is the next thing to expect on arrival.
Hello! Thorght I would share my experience from Phnom Penh to BKK!
I was more than 2 years in Thailand and went on an extended visa run to Cambodia (3 weeks, my friend 2 weeks) I was on a mix of ed, non-o and covid extensions.
On arrival to bkk, I got through- no issues, didn't need to show any money, onward flight, hotel booking ect.... Neither did my buddy who was on an earlier flight.
I came in on a tourist visa from the consulate, my friend VOA.
I was so nervous before this flight as I was expecting it to be difficult.
Phew, I'm back in Thailand 💞
Thorght I would share in case there were others like me who were absolutely bricking it 😅
It might not be the same for everyone though, so there is still risk I guess.
