TLDR : Answer Summary
The post requests recommendations for reasonably priced, accredited Muay Thai gyms in Khon Kaen, Thailand, while also inquiring whether attendance is required for a specific course related to a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa). Commenters emphasize that attending the course is against the rules not to attend, although some suggest that people may disregard this. They caution against exploiting visa rules and highlight the possible consequences of illegal status in Thailand.

As a football referee and a yoga teacher the DTV is useless as you need a work permit to do your job in Thailand.

I always wonder why people will go the extra mile to be an illegal foreigner, breaking multiple laws in a foreign country. Getting arrested may sound fun, the stay in Immigration Detention Center and loosing all your belongings in that foreign country is less fun.

DON'T APPLY for a Soft Power activity unless you plan on attending the full course offering.

There are no follow-ups. I know two people who have done it. They simply paid to course fee to simplify the application process. The DTV is a free for all

So you will help them lose their accreditation?

It's not the school's fault if a student doesn't attend

Anonymous participant 419 schools lose their ability to help people get visas if they become a Visa School where attendance is zero.

You know immigration officers turn up at the courses sometimes...

I wonder if Thai immigration monitor these pages where people say they want to exploit their Visa's?

Obviously you are meant to attend the course the DTV was approved for. In practice some do not.
