If I would like to apply with a Muay Thai gym in Chiang Mai that has as few people abusing the visa as possible which one would you recommend? It seems extremely common that people don’t even go to classes and if possible I would like to try to avoid being caught up in crack downs from immigration on DTV holders who signed up with gyms with many students who don’t show up for classes.
Hello, I'm interested in obtaining a DTV visa through Muay Thai gym, with the intention of changing it at a later date. Could anyone here who has gone through this process please offer some general advice and/or tips on it, as well as recommend any good gyms to contact for this. Thanks!
Hi everyone! I’m hoping someone here can help me with a few questions about the DTV (Soft Power Muay Thai) Visa.
I’m currently in Indonesia (Kei Islands) and planning to apply from here. I’d be very grateful for any insights:
1.) Does anyone know a good Muay Thai gym in Bangkok that offers training vouchers or flexible packages?
I plan to stay in Thailand for only 2 months before going back to Germany for work for 4 months — and then returning to Thailand. So a full 6-month course might not make sense if I can't use the whole time.
2.) I still have an unused Tourist Visa from Cambodia, but ended up entering Thailand via Visa Exemption at a land border because the Tourist Visa process took too long. Could that cause issues when entering Thailand with the DTV Visa?
3.) Would it be better to enter Thailand again now using the unused Tourist Visa (by plane from Indonesia), and apply for the DTV Visa later from Germany?
Travel history this year:
Dec 2024: Entered Thailand with Visa Exemption. Was questioned at Immigration, but had a nice conversation in Thai with them and they told me, I should get next time a proper Visa and did too many 30 days extensions (last year and only Visa Exemption entry) but could enter Thailand again...
Feb 2025: Left to Cambodia for 10 days
Mar 2025: Returned to Thailand via Visa Exemption again
Apr 2025: Left Thailand to Indonesia
May 2025: Planning to return (flight from Indonesia)
I didn't do any 30 days extensions this time :-))
Thanks so much in advance! Really appreciate any advice or shared experience 🙏🙏🙏
Hi I intend to get the Dtv visa by the soft Thai power muay Thai wat.. I can buy the muay Thai fever program for 15000 baths.( They are based in Chang Mai). Anyone has applied Dtv using their invitation letter ? Are they reliable ?
Otherwise are there any reliables muay thaï clubs in Pattaya providing not so expensive Dtv services ? ( Because I plan to stay in Pattaya. So would be more suitable for me)
I’m sharing this post because I gained useful insights from this page. I applied for DTV - soft power skills related to Muay Thai in Ho Chi Minh City - Vietnam.
Application Date: Thursday, January 9th
Approval Date: Thursday, January 16th
Gym Membership: 1 - month program
The day after my initial submission, I was asked to provide additional documents related to the Muay Thai gym, including their business registration and company profile. The request for these documents was back and forth, with a total of four requests to upload supporting documents. Without the assistance of the gym owner, who speaks excellent English as he is American, this process would have been extremely challenging.
Training at the gym is good, the gym is nice and clean and the coaches know how to teach and have fun at it.
If you’re looking for a gym in Bangkok that understands the documentation process and is very supportive, I highly recommend Tiger Eye Muay Thai (Tiger Eye MMA).
Hello, I am looking for a Muay Thai gym in Bangkok for DTV visa. Does anyone know a decent muay thai gym both provides documents and have real training?
