Yes, I should have said Australian Aged Pensions. The advantage with our system is that if for various reasons, you haven't paid tax, but are a citizen, you will still get a ( very basic ) pension. Our compulsory superannuation is the scheme that would be equivalent to some countries' pension schemes.
the correct phrasing is "... could be taking away someone's job". The reality is plenty of socially desirable outcomes just wouldn't happen without volunteering ( legal or illegal ).
They may be entitled to a government old-age pension in their own right, IF they meet criteria. Superannuation is different, but pension is a payment, not an asset.
Yes, just like in most countries police have a reasonable amount of discretion about enforcement on many issues. But when/if they get complaints they usually have to act... So avoid having people complain is key, and then having respectable backers if something happens is your insurance...
