Typically, if you stay away a month and you enter by plane you'll be allowed in. There is no formal limit. No visa required. But if your trying to live/work here without visa, you'll run into problems eventually.
I don't understand the obsession to stay/live exclusively in Thailand exclusively and not stay other places for a month or so, too...
Look at luggage prices, it can be pretty steep.... I'm not sure what things you're talking about. Most things you might not need otherwise bring some every time you travel.
Also keep in mind that starting from new, looking for stuff will make you know where to find stuff and get to know your new city!
They are asking to leave here (Thailand) to go overseas. Do you miss that? Overseas from here better be like Bali, or Japan, or USA, australia.
Overseas from Bangkok would be to cross a sea. That some English island people, when they leave their island, are going overseas, is one thing. But when you go from Thailand to Cambodia your are not going overseas...
The world isn't defined by your "native English islands".
Overseas != Abroad always.
But you seems to have decided I'm stupid because I'm " not native". So condescending.
Bangkok bank is that only one that officially allows tourists to get bank account.
Your embassy can issue a paper that works where they state that you state that you live there and there. Shouldnt be hotel address.
You also need to go to embassy to verify/certify your passport. So you might as well do both in one visit.
Deposit at least 100 thb.
This is the official rules of bkk bank. Other banks, officially, ask for long term work visas.
Yes. Some have gotten "lucky" with other banks, and bringing a Thai friend with account there might help. But who knows who have access to the account then. Lol...
