in Bangkok 4k? I asked my landlord and she said agents take up to 50k. Cheaper for some nationalities. I already have an account from before retirement but it’s a long trip to isaan just to change my passport number in their computer. Bangkok is at the exit of my condo 😂

thanks for the info and photos. I will probably use a taxi instead of BTS and pink line as I’m familiar with putting the chair into a grabSUV 🙏

i tried to open one in Bangkok, too. I have one from a province far away and they asked me to go there to change the passport number after I got a new passport. But every bank in my neighborhood said no because of company policy. Mai pen rai 🙏

How can you (officially) have a bank book if bank accounts are not available for DTV holders? Ordering the bank balance from my swiss bank took 5 days before i applied for DTV. How should i do this the same day while in Thailand? I guess i just need to try

I was probably the only one arriving with a laminated copy lol. Due to disability I often destroy paper while just holding it. At least my soft power for medical treatment is visible. Not only a dentist visit 🤣

You mean your OZ bank sends you a tan for a domestic transfer? I don’t know about wise in Australia but in Switzerland, I transfer to a Swiss branch of JP morgan chase doesn’t your au bank application just asks for approval? Sms is a bit outdated and not the most secure. If your bank did their job you don’t really need s VPN in my opinion
