is do the same. When telemarketers call me on my swiss line and i don’t pay attention to which line they call me, they don’t like when i pick up in thai. At least they hang up pretty soon
is dont know much about American cell phone carriers but i believe technology is the same everywhere. Just be careful if you have data roaming active on your US sim, it will cost you an arm and a leg if you receive a photo or something while you’re not on WIFI. That’s why I’m on prepaid for the foreign line. Even when i accidentally get charged, i can’t lose more than the 10$ i have on it
I was able to change my home country phone plan to prepaid and just keep a minimal amount on it. Works fine for receiving 2 factor auth text messages. So I have a thai and swiss sim ( one is eSIM). I just turn the swiss line off or at least disable roaming. If i expect a text, i turn it on for a minute
Amererican tourists are known for talking loud. Keep that at home, please. Officially need to bring 20k thb (in any currency) but i don’t know anyone who was asked to show. Don’t dress like a homeless 😂 Thai people understand that foreign tourists don’t know everything about their culture and forgive most mistakes
The one closest to the place you live. Sometimes they want you to go to the branch you opened the account. I opened mine in isaan but moved to Bangkok. Luckily one lady at the local branch understand the struggle and simply called the other one to figure something out. In some cases also lowers ATM fees if you withdraw in the same province
Bkk hostpital in Bangkok has a visa department. Don’t know what exactly they do, but i guess they know what to do. I’m only there outpatient but usually their service is excellent if you understand their English 😱edit: just saw that you don’t mean Bangkok Hospital which my friends snd me call bkk hospital. But most private hospitals have similar services. Disclaimer: I don’t know much about overstay but have been to multiple hospitals here including samitivej where i paid cash because they have no direct billing with my insurance. I found if you ask them for help, they will help you or at least point you in the right direction
is collect coins in a jar and regularly put them in a ziplock bag and bring them with me when i take the BTS. I bet with condo security or other people how much they think it is. They always say too much and i win almost every time but my rabbit card is happy about it
