Taxi to Pattaya cost us about $40 Canadian two years ago

Before you leave, get a these apps and register Watsapp ( I’d suggest that you use your regular cell number for Watsapp , to do that you must download and set it up in your area code so you have to be in to do that

Also download “Grab “ for taxi ( it’s like Uber ) and check into eSIM plans on line , so you can just have it when you get there and simply disable your own sim to avoid roaming charges

you don’t need a cell phone plan voice plan in Asia ( or pretty much anywhere in the world except Americas

( ps you cell phone charger can be used it is capable of handling both 110 and 220 volts )absolutely everyone uses Watsapp so you only need a data plan , about $10 or so a month I use Arilo

almost all phones (unlocked phones) can take an ESim, no need for dual sim phones

In fact the newest phones don’t even take a physical sim anymore (iPhone 15 )

We are just: “foreigners “ visiting their country.

This decision is not yours to make , as much as your sentiments are in the best of intentions

It might make a difference depending where you are from ( different deals with every country ) but in general , as A Canadian, they don’t ask where we are staying at all, as long as we don’t overstay our visa ( they have penalties for that)
