How's it possible to get a soft option DTV that lasts 5 years???

That's a lot of cooking and music festivals lol

I'm skint, but I have a Thai girl who owns her own condo and has a bank account. What can I get away with?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The possibility of obtaining a soft option DTV that lasts 5 years is complex and often involves financial requirements such as a minimum bank balance of 500,000 THB. Comments suggest that personal connections or assets, such as a Thai partner's condo and bank account, may not be sufficient alone. There are also various opinions on alternative options like marrying a Thai citizen to secure a Non-O visa. Additionally, there are concerns about the scrutiny of ongoing visa status and documentation requirements over time.

My doctor wrote a letter that I need medical treatment every 3 months with the next few appointment dates o have to be in the hospital. So I need my soft power activity even after DTV is finished

your health problems are one of the principal reasons that they don’t want you

No

Country is looking for visitors who become a drain on their country.

Your health problems are or any other problems , aren’t their problem

You dont need soft power of 5 years. People get/got away with some weeks training or even 1 dentist appointment at some embassies.

But This is Thailand and too good to be true. Maybe they will check in some year(s) if you still have a valid reason when entering. Maybe they won't.🤷‍♂️

At least for extension for the extra 180 days you have to reproduce all the intitial paperwork at this moment, so that would be hard with a short course or treatment

Nothing . It costs money and money is needed to be in your own bank account

You’re going to need to somehow acquire 500k and then go off to a nearby country to apply. The fact that your girlfriend owns a condo and has a bank account is irrelevant.

Oh well then if that’s the case you get free entry in to Thailand and can stay as long as you like. Car owners are important here…..
