Starting to feel a bit defeated. We (60+) are coming from Canada in September but struggling to find a visa that we can make work for us. My husband and I are able to scrape together 800,000 baht for one Non OA visa, the rest of our money is in retirement portfolios (RRSPs).
I was thinking I could come on a Non O trailing spouse 90 day and extend to match his once we arrive. Has ANYONE done this??
Hello, I have a question about the $800k Baht requirement for non O retirement visa. I have half the amount and about $108,000 TB($3200.00 USD)/month retirement income and around $10k USD in savings. The visa agent said he could help meet the $800k level but would hold my passport until my funds cover the full amount. Is this usual practice with visa agents ? I could more than likely fund this fully myself in about 5 months. He adked me how long I would need to fund full amount. This is all new to me so i dont need any sarcastic comments. Just some real practical knowledge from anyone that has experience with this.
I am going the medical route in Hanoi, do you think the following info will be enough?
- I got a medical certificate from an International Hospital in Bangkok, stating I need 10 physical therapy sessions until June 30th and that I will need to follow up within 3 months
- I got the 10 sessions booked already, so I got the slip for each.
I have around 550k baht on Revolut. I did the transfer a couple of days ago.
Retirement extension: every year I try to make a perfect application but every year I am thwarted! Today I had all the documents on the current list. 10 is a Google map of your house with lat and long. No use printing it out and writing on it. No, you need to drop a pin on it to show the lat and long. Fortunately the copy shop near room 103 could do this. Print with north to the top of the paper. Also, the photos of you in front of your house showing the house number should be printed across the page, not full page. I think this is so everything can be understood without rotating any document 90 degrees.
When I picked up the document list a couple of days ago they gave me form 2, form 9 and 11 I think which are for acknowledging that you know the penalties for contravening the terms of your extension.
However, it was effecient and helpful; only an hour from entering the bank for letter and statement until departing Immigration. Collect passport at 4pm next day.
Has anyone successfully get a 180 days stamp after re-entering Thailand after their 6 month course expired and not renewed a new course? I am under the Muay thai dtv, but want to change to remote worker, must I re-apply my visa?
Has anyone applied for one of the visas while IN Thailand after a tourist visa? If so can you apply online and use the embassy location where you are (in Thailand) or do you have to leave first and come back?
Anyone else applying that works remotely for a small business that doesn’t have an official HR department? What makes the letter and contract official? Is it just the letter head? Should i get it notarized? It’s a business in the USA. Thank you!
