It’s definitely beneficial if you need to go to one of those private hospitals. They’re not cheap. My mom is currently in Bangkok Hospital pattaya after her kidneys suddenly failed. Luckily she has an insurance that pays the dialysis and stuff. I had to pay 40k as a security because the insurance didn’t immediately sent the guarantee of payment. I have an international expat health insurance which covers even pre existing conditions
In my first condo, my only choice was true because they installed the fiber already. Maybe that was a lie but I’m happy with them so far. Even let me use my own router
Try telling them that you just come from a birthday party and thai people stapled them together around your neck. Works well with thai baht. Good luck 😂
Some meds you only get in hospitals. I got everything else without any prescription. I brought mine from Europe, too but only needed it once to prove that I require 2 insulin pens on a flight
I converted my swiss subscription postpaid to prepaid esim and inserted my pretty old prepaid thai sim to my iPhone 11 before moving here. dtac is now postpaid but occasionally need to reveive texts from switzerland. i always keep around 500 baht on that prepaid that the number doesn’t expire
