Anonymous participant I got it when i was 43 years old (last yr 555). As long as you have the money, you’re fine. But di yourself a favor and have your realistic budget ready. Depending on your circumstances, military retirement may not be enough as a private health insurance is highly recommended and not cheap 🙏

Talk to your doctor or his team who he calls nurse ( the counter in front of the doctor’s office). I received a signed letter stating regular treatment with the next few appointments listed

My doctor wrote a letter that I need medical treatment every 3 months with the next few appointment dates o have to be in the hospital. So I need my soft power activity even after DTV is finished

Anonymous participant unfortunately Bumrungrad business center didn’t know the DTV but I paid an agent to help with paperwork, so they sent me a text in thai to forward to the hospital. Then I received what immigration needed. You can save the money and do it yourself as doctors understand English better than other employees

I received a letter from my bumrungrad hospital doctor saying that I need continuous treatment with a list of upcoming appointments. Main reason for visiting them are a kidney transplant, stroke, diabetes, epilepsy and more. They realized that I’m not abusing the visa. Adding proof of income issued by embassy wasn’t needed but appreciated

Pre existing medical conditions were helpful for getting proof of long term medical treatment. I went this route. Don’t want to sound rude, maybe you have a valid reason to see a doctor, too. I’m in my 40s, usually it’s not the age to have chronic illnesses. I went with Bumrungrad hospital and see a nephrologist every 3 months which they wrote on a letter the embassy in bern accepted

@Joy *****
I was very lucky to get my visa in 4 days but an agent helped me with the paperwork. I’m brain injured and struggling with things like papers. I sent them all my documents and after they said should be fine, uploaded the application. Unfortunately the requirements for extension are stricter than the initial ones. So I went to laos and back yesterday. Immigration only asked which soft power category I had and where. I offered to show the confirmation letter from my doctor and the list of all appointments. He didn’t want to see it
