I see. Thank you, Brandon. That's what I thought. On a different subject: Not sure I would feel comfortable using the automated exit lanes quite yet. An entry stamp without a corresponging exit stamp screams like problems down the road.

How hard could it be to have all immigraiton offices apply the exact same set of rules and procedures? Will we ever witness that? How hard can it be?

If you enter after August 18, this visa is useless / void.

Example: If you enter on August 18, you will be stamped in for 60 days (including the day of arrival) - so stamped in until October 16.

Yes. Enter until 18 August at the latest. And when you do, be stamped in for 60 days.

On the con side: Many immigration offices would require the wife to be present with you at every extension. So not only wasting your time with their inefficiencies, but disrespecting your wife’s time, too. Or imagine your marriage going south and the wife not willing to show up with you at immigration - no extension even though still married. Just some random thoughts. If over 50 or other options I would base the stay on those, rather.
