Is the weather in Phuket going to improve next week after days of rain?

Permanently cloudy and drizzling rain for days now. Have not really seen the sun since I came back to Thailand last Sunday. In Phuket now. Bound for Koh Lipe. Any chance the weather won’t ruin next week as well? Need some cheering up.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A traveler expresses concern about the ongoing cloudy and rainy weather in Phuket since returning to Thailand, inquiring whether the weather will improve for their upcoming trip to Koh Lipe. The comments reveal insights about the rainy season, with several users discussing the potential for continued rain in the area and suggesting alternative destinations like Koh Chang and Chiang Mai. There is a consensus that the southern region experiences a lot of rain during this time, and sunny weather may not be guaranteed until later in the year.

If you want a sunny island, koh lipe is great place but really no guarantees there until xmas, why not try koh chang (northern one not the one by ranong)

Wanted to head to Chiang Mai. Was persuaded to stick to the south for a couple of weeks, first. Won’t make that mistake again. Counting the days down for Chiang Mai in December already.

I was always under the impression rainy season means heavy, but rather short rainfalls. Not full clouds cover all day.
