After years of Thailand elite, then retirement extensions, finances dictate I switch to an extension based on marriage. I realise it's pretty onerous but doable. My question for those who do it regularly.... is all the paperwork, photos, hand drawn map, kor ror 2 etc supposed to be renewed EVERY year?
Hello all. I am right now trying to complete a non o application from here in uk question of duration of stay. My intention is to get authorisation to stay beyond the original term by way of extension on family basis (wife).
Should I mark down 60 or 90. I understand the procedure I think to let 60 days lapse and then apply for extension. Any help appreciated. My intention is to stay at least 5-6 months and then return on it having the necessary re entry permit.
Thank you guys, I was reading every comment about DTV and documents. We were over prepared for my husband visa. He applied in Brasil and got it in 5 hours. 🙏❤️ So thanks to everyone who takes time to share! It really helps ❤️
Please clarify a 30 day extension to a 60 day visa exempt visit to Thailand scenario . If I arrive at BKK on October 1 I will be stamped for 60 days until November 29. If I go to Vietnam during this time, and come bacK to BKK and get a 30 day extension until December 29 , can I simply change flights and depart Thailand and go back to America on December 29 with no issues ? Thanks in advance for your advice..k
Hi to one and all, I shall try to briefly explain my situation. I am totally blind and I’m travelling to Bangkok on the eighth and arriving in Bangkok on the ninth from Manchester and changing at Amsterdam on the way . The issue that I’m having is that the website is not very accessible I’ve tried using a mobile phone and laptop because I use a screen reader which allows me to know what is on the screen however, the drop-down menus are not being displayed or spoken and when I have to search for certain things such as the different categories that are listed it doesn’t let me activate anything. so to give you a scenario, if I’m trying to choose my preferred accommodation to where I will stay I can jump into the search box but then it won’t actually find the results. What is people’s suggestions? Should I just arrive at the airport and see if the airline can help me with it or just hope the best. I do understand that I have to fill this form in online 72 hours before I leave. Thanks a lot
Anyone else had trouble obtaining a letter of residence (residence certificate) at Bangkok immigration recently? -
I took all the requested documents to apply for a letter of residence. The officer took a long time looking over all the documents and noticed there was a single character typo on the rental agreement address. Informed me to amend and re-sign the rental contract with the landlord (fair enough). Then asked me to pay 400 baht (the official website says ‘no fees’ so I was confused but agreed).
After the amended rental agreement was completed and a new TM.30 submitted online by the landlord they are now asking me for more documents -
◦ House registration
◦ Owner Passport page
◦ Condo title deed (front and back)
◦ The owner signs and certifies that all pages are copies of the correctness.
Is this all normal just for a letter of residence? Or did the rules change very recently? It took me weeks just to get the TM30 from the landlord so feel like I got no chance getting all that from them 🥹.
The landlord is a foreigner (condo) if that makes a difference?
