What about lounges at BKK (Suvarnabhumi Airport)? Any still open? Or did some genius Thai decision makers think that roaming freely around the airport would be less infectious? Due to limited domestic flights, I might have to spend 9 hours there before heading back to Europe. Arrival around 2pm, intercontinental flight around 11pm. Any other (quiet) places with a desk to get some work done? Novotel or something? Thank you.

Answer summary

The lounges at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) were open a few weeks ago, although services were limited, with no self-service options and a menu-only selection for food. However, their current status may depend on the number of flights operating at the time, which suggests some lounges could be closed due to reduced traffic. If you're looking for a quiet place to work, there may be options like pods available, but specific details on facilities like the Novotel weren't mentioned.

I was in a lounge one week ago. No self service, even for drinks. You have to order food from a menu, no buffet 😷
