How come you got the paper in your passport? I literally just got a stamp that says the exit day 180 days later

Increasing foreigner tax residents by introducing a 5 year visa with 180 days renewal coupled with the change in tax laws clearly shows a connection dumbass.

It's a bit silly I was able to open a bank acct on a 6 month muay thai visa in 2019 but it's harder to on a 5 year DTV one lol. If they want me to bring money in and pay taxes I need a thai bank account! Isn't that the whole point 😛

Classic mistake that people make: YOU ARE NOT A CITIZEN OF THE WORLD. YOU ARE A TAX RESIDENT OF WHATEVER YOUR CITIZENSHIP ON YOUR PASSPORT IS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A CURRENT TAX RESIDENCY. STOP TRYING TO AVOID TAX THIS WAY. THERE ARE LEGAL WAYS TO DO IT THROUGH OFFSHORE COMPANIES BUT IT IS COMPLEX AND OFTEN TIMES NOT WORTH THE HASSLE. The end.

I dont get why it would be for the thai cultural activities or medical treatment etc - DTV should be for workation and remote working only.

the embassy dont really respond to questions champ so best to do both

UPDATE: I emailed the consulate in Sydney saying my flight was on Saturday and about 2 hours later I got the APPROVAL with PDF etc.

Overall I just needed to re-submit 1 document on Tuesday the 15th and today it got approved.

Also my proof of flight into Thailand was for last Sunday and they didn’t seem to care about that. I missed that flight for other reasons.
