If you get a DTV visa, how do taxes end up working between the US and Thailand? Do you get to deduct your Thai taxes from the US? Or your US taxes from your Thai taxes? I am trying to compare this scenario with the idea of working under iglo and paying them 30% but it including the thai taxes.

Asking for my partner: he is a Dutch citizen registered as a “world traveler.” In this case, he moves around and never stays in any country for more than 3 months. Since he does not live in the Netherlands, he is exempt from paying taxes there.

If he stays in Thailand for more than 180 days per year, how does this affect his tax obligations?

Taxes in Thailand:

So as far as I know, once someone is staying in Thailand 180 days or more a year, he is considered a tax resident.

I know that only income remitted into Thailand and earned after January 1st 2024 is taxed.

Can anyone shed light on what it actually means? I don't intend to open a bank account in Thailand, I only work with cash, meaning that (as far as I know) I don't need to pay taxes in Thailand (I pay in my home country of course).

Do I need to file any forms? Declare anything? If so which one and how is it done?

I can't find too much concrete information addressing the practical steps needed to be taken. Anyone got any more details on the matter?

Hello

I saw announcement from Thai Revenue Department that if foreigner stays longer 180 days must pay tax

Is that true and to what type of visa?

And If I stay in Thailand under Tourist visa or visa waiver which I go in and go out, but total stay is 180 says. Do I still have to pay tax?
