If my remote work visa is rejected, can I apply for a course the next day? Has anyone done this?

Hey everyone,

I’m a German citizen and have been spending several months a year in Thailand since 2021, always entering with a tourist visa or the 30-day visa exemption. I’ve never had any issues with entry before, always arriving by plane.

Last week, I took a short trip to Vietnam as my tourist visa had expired and tried to re-enter Thailand using the new 60-day visa exemption. But this time, immigration pulled me aside, pointing out that staying too long as a tourist is an issue. I had to fill out a form (attached) and show proof of an onward flight before they finally stamped my passport with 60 days.

I always thought there weren’t any limitations for entry by plane, so this was totally unexpected. The officer spoke very little English, and I couldn’t get a clear answer about the issue. Interestingly, I wasn’t the only one pulled aside—others around me seemed to be facing similar questions.

Has anyone else experienced something like this recently?

Hi, does anyone have experience applying for a DTV e-visa via embassies in China? I wanna know how strict they are on foreigners who don't live in China. And how long the visa takes?

Why? So many rumours and stuff even in seemingly legit news outlets?? It's about a long(er) VISA and could seriously impact lives negatively ;*()

Text/ screenshot reads: soft Power DTV need to re produce another letter/ proof about soft Power activity to Extend the first 189 (sic!) days....?!

PS: can you recommend good Websites with more factual..fatcs? 555

Before emailing the embassy I thought I would ask here

Does anyone know if a certificate of civil union is accepted as proof of relationship for a spouse DTV?

We are not ‘married’ but on paper a civil union is the same. I also know that some countries don’t recognize it as legal. Is Thailand is?

Has anyone successfully applied for a DTV whilst outside of their home country? We are currently between Malaysia/Indonesia and want to apply with British passports, but not sure if there’s a nearby embassy we can apply to.

Hello, I have one simple question about the DTV if anyone can help please :

Do you think we need to apply from our country of residence ? or from any thai embassy ?

If we are visiting another country and applying from there, what kind of document prooving current location can we provide ?

Thanks a lot 🙏 Amandine Mas.

Hi All, I appreciate any help and advice you can give as answers to several questions I have…

1) I am in Thailand on a non-o visa which expires on 15th Sept. I have funds in Thai account with the intention of applying for 12 month extension for retirement as I am over 50. However, I have an opportunity which may require me to return to my previous country of residence for a few days, can I just apply for a re-entry permit (not sure of the exact terminology), and go a) before I apply for the 12 month extension, or b) after I have applied but before it is granted, or c) must I wait until I have been granted the 12 month extension and the re-entry permit?

2) My partner(not married & under 50) will be joining me entering with an APEC card for the first time, is she limited to 2 land border bounces per year or does the APEC card act as a 5 yr visa so long as you leave every 3 months regardless of whether by land or air?

Thanks for your advice.

Last week I submitted my application to the Royal Thai embassy in Canberra ( Aust ) for a 60 day tourist visa ( done it many times over many years ) my application & all the documents were returned within 4 days - with advice that the embassy doesn’t handle visa applications by post any more & that I must submit a E-VISA ( instructions were enclosed ) - After 3+ hours - trying to wade through the technical jargon - I gave up in dispare - if your not computer literate, ile advise everyone, you will have to go to a private business that handles all kinds of visa applications - any advice anyone ?
