I just got my wife, her spouse DTV. We both have the proper amount of money in our bank account. The application asked for her employment status and I put unemployed. It was not an issue. We applied at the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington DC.

Sounds like you may be asking them to back date your new one

Pretty simple, tell him you got the TM 30 for the old department now, so all you need is the new one. You’ll find out.

actually, and off the subject, that might not be a bad idea. If I interviewed for a job and didn’t get hired, go back and ask, what did I do wrong? Is there some way I could improve my qualifications, my interviewing technique, and the like. not that they would reconsider me for the job, but so that I could learn. Anyway, back to our regularly scheduled programming.

As I recall DC took about 3 weeks, including 2 requests for more documents. Just applied for my wife on DTV spouse, been a week so far.

Sorry if this seems elementary but can someone define “remitted to Thailand,” please? If I use a Thai ATM to get cash from a foreign account does that count? Or only if I deposit it into a Thai bank account? Thanks.
